Maddie's Skincare Routine

Morning Skincare Routine:

  • Cleansing: Start your day with a gentle cleanser to remove any impurities that may have accumulated overnight.
  • Toner: Apply a hydrating and pH-balancing toner to prepare your skin for subsequent products and enhance absorption. Blot (not rub) into skin for optimal effect. 
  • IS Clinical GeneXc Serum: Introduce a Vitamin C serum to brighten your complexion and protect against environmental damage. Concentration sweet spot is 10-20 percent. Aim for something higher than 8, to see results. Going over 20 leads to irritation. This potent antioxidant boosts collagen production for firm, radiant skin.
  • Is Clincal Youth eye: Pat on an eye cream with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or caffeine to address puffiness and dark circles.
  • IS Moisture Emulsion: Opt for a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer to lock in hydration without weighing down your skin.
  • P4O 50 Mineral sunscreen: The most crucial step! I never ever leave home without it. Apply a broad-spectrum mineral based sunscreen with at least SPF 30 (preferable 50)to shield your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent premature aging. Reapply as needed throughout the day. Make sure to use under your make-up. Reapplication over make-up is ok. 

Afternoon Skincare Routine: 

  • Reapplication of Sunscreen: If you spend extended periods outdoors, consider reapplying sunscreen every two hours to maintain optimal protection.

Evening Skincare Routine (Pre-Bed):

  • IS Clinical Cream Cleanser: Begin with an effective makeup remover or cleansing oil/cream to eliminate all traces of makeup and sunscreen.
  • IS Clinical Cleansing Complex: For that double cleanse (always double cleanse). Follow up with a thorough cleanser to cleanse your skin of impurities and prepare it for nighttime products.
  • Vanessa Hernandez Peel Pads (2-3 times a week): Incorporate Vanessa Hernandez Peel Pads into your routine for a targeted exfoliation. These pads are packed with actives and plant based stem cells, they offer a convenient and effective way to exfoliate and promote skin renewal.
  • Serums: Apply your preferred serums and actives based on your skincare concerns. This could include ingredients like retinol, hyaluronic acid, or any specialized treatment serums for your specific needs. (Don’t use on same night as Peel Pads)
  • IS Clinical Retinol 0.3: Use retinol to improve my skin’s texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its powerful formula promotes cell turnover, revealing smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
  • SBCI Eye Cream: Stem cell based and driving I continue with my preferred eye cream for targeted care around the delicate eye area.
  • IS Clinical Moisture Emulsion: Seal in the goodness with a slightly heavier night cream or moisturizer to provide intense hydration.
  • Hydrating Oil (optional) I love Symbiome Recharge: This hydrating and anti-aging, Postbiomic oil blend is packed with antioxidants and retinoids that support collagen production and cellular turnover to even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. When you add oil on top of moisturizer, it locks in your moisture and it feels so luxurious. 
  • Lip Balm: Finish your evening routine with a soothing lip balm for soft, moisturized lips.

Once a week:

  • Once a Week Gold Mask or Freyja’s signature Clear Hydrating Mask: Treat your skin to a luxurious once-a-week ritual with a gold mask for added radiance or a clear hydrating mask to replenish moisture. Follow the instructions on the product for the best results.
  • Gold Under Eye Pads (as needed): Combat puffiness and indulge in self-care by applying gold under-eye pads. These pads offer a soothing and luxurious experience while targeting puffiness around the eyes.

Top tip- put these in the fridge to give a really nice de-puff as well. 

This enhanced routine introduces a weekly gold or hydrating mask for an extra boost of pampering and incorporates gold under-eye pads to address puffiness. My skincare changes with the season and of course remember to adjust the frequency of these treatments based on your skin’s needs and sensitivity. Enjoy the indulgence of your skincare ritual!
